Background
We supported Westport Fuel Systems with PR activities during their exhibition at Fuel Cell EXPO (FC EXPO) 2023 in Tokyo. Headquartered in Canada, Westport Fuel Systems has participated in more than 20 energy-related expositions before. However, with limited PR expertise in Japan, Westport has not built a relationship with the Japanese media.
Strategy & Execution
As the PR representative of Westport at FC EXPO 2023, our responsibility is to become of bridge between the company’s executives from the headquarter and the Japanese media by inviting media and arranging in-booth interviews. We also prepared a press release, localized media kit, and provided administrative support.
Outcome
On the event day, we managed to invite numerous journalists to Westport’s booth and secured interviews with mostly industry publications/ Furthermore, we also proactively communicated with media that have not covered our stories to obtain more coverage in the future.
